Day 1 SATURDAY : The Adventure Begins !

Welcome to Egypt ! you will be met on arrival by our representative who will escort you  in a deluxe air conditioned vehicle  to your hotel. During the ride take advantage of your first glimpses into the vibrant life of our capital city. Arrival to the Hotel , check in and go over the following day’s arrangements with your tour leader. Free time to relax or take an optional tour for example to see the Sound and Light Show  at the Pyramids. Overnight

Day 2 SUNDAY : Meet the Pyramids !

After breakfast in your hotel , we are off to visit the Pyramids , these amazing structures have over 4500  years worth of history and enigmas to be explored. Marvel and the mysterious Sphinx  and the Temple of the Valley , before stopping at a Papyrus Institute to see how the ancient Egyptians manufactured the world’s first writing paper.  Visit of the Egyptian Museum and wonder over the stunning treasure of Tutankhamon. Before free time for lunch and then transfer to the train station to take the overnight sleeper train to Luxor. Dinner and overnight on board

Day 3 MONDAY : Discover the Pharoahs

Earمy morning arrival to Luxor , you will be served breakfast on board before disembarking from the train. First we will visit  Luxor Temple in the heart of  ancient Thebes , once the most important city in Egypt.  Here you will get an idea of the grandeur and importance of  Pharaonic life.  Transfer to the cruise ship , check in and lunch on board. In the afternoon we will visit Karnak Temple, wander through the largest collection of religious monuments in ancient Egypt , from its Sacred Scarab to its holy lake, various chapels and temples will spirit you back in time to the glorious Egyptian past. Dinner and overnight in the cruise.

Day 4 TUESDAY: Set sail

Breakfast on board and early morning visit to the Land of the Dead! , Valley of the Kings , made famous by the discovery of Tutankhamon’s Tomb is an fascinating collection of over 80 royal tombs , wandering through the vibrantly coloured chambers decorated with ancient hieroglyphics you will get an amazing insight into the life and death of the ancient pharoahs. Continue on around the Valley of the Queens where we will stop for a stunning panoramic view of the Temple of the only female Pharoah Queen Hatchesput, this amazing multi layered temple is one of it’s kind. Finally stop off at the 18 metre high stone guardians of  the Pharoah  Amenhotep III before travelling back to the ship for lunch. Afternoon sailing towards Esna Lock , Take advantage of the lazy afternoon on board to watch the Nile float by , known as the Father of Rivers  , the waters from the river give life to over 80% of the Egyptian population .  Dinner and Overnight

Day 5 WEDNESDAY : Falcons and Crocodiles

Breakfast on board and after a quick  horse drawn carriage ride we arrive at Edfu Temple , dedicated to the avenging Sky God Horus , considered to be the best preserved Temple in all of Egypt and the site of the battle between warring Gods Horus and Seth. Lunch on the boat and afternoon arrival to Kom Ombo  , visit of these unique twin temples dedicated to  Sobek,  the Crocodile God  and Haoeris, the God of Light . Both God’s considered to be so strong they needed separate temples. Bargain a souvenir in the bazaar on the way back , as tonight we will celebrate the Djellaba Party on board. dinner and overnight .

Day 6 THURSDAY : Cataracts and Nubians

Breakfast on board and today we will visit the southern most city in Egypt Aswan, known for  its stunning scenery  we will  sail around the Cataracts and see the various islands from our typical Felucca boat, before heading off for an instructive tour around the Granite quarry  to see the Unfinished Obelisk and find out the secrets of how the Egyptains carved their stone monuments. Finally a stop at the High dam of Aswan to see this marvel of technology that allowed the Egyptians to  control and the Nile. Lunch on Board . In the afternoon possibility to visit  the Nubian Village  , these colourful , vibrant people that populate the south of Egypt have a totally different culture from the rest of the country and they love welcoming visitors into their technicoloured adobe houses to show what life on the Nile geniunely looks like…. crocodiles included ! dinner and overnight on board

Day 7 FRIDAY: Souvenirs galore

Breakfast on board , possibility of an optional tour to visit the Stunning Temples of Abu Simbel, located on the shores of Lake Nasser , before taking your flight back to Cairo. Arrival at Cairo Airport and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon free to wander around the Famous Bazaar of Khan El Khaili and maybe snap up that last minute souvenir. Overnight

Day 8 Saturday : Farewell

Breakfast in hotel and transfer to the international airport of Cairo to take you flight back home.
